Scope and identity
HorseBoardingPath is an independent educational publisher, not a barn manager, attorney, accountant, insurer, veterinarian, zoning authority, or broker. We currently publish 54 field guides plus interactive planning tools.
Source hierarchy
For legal or regulatory claims, we prefer current statutes, agency pages, and official local sources. For animal-care questions, readers are directed to their veterinarian and recognized veterinary or extension guidance. For costs, readers enter their own invoices, wages, occupancy, and operating assumptions; we do not label invented averages as market facts.
Claims and calculations
Every calculator exposes its inputs and formula. Tool outputs are estimates, not recommendations. We distinguish direct cost, vacancy, labor, fixed overhead, reserves, and target margin instead of collapsing them into a magic number.
Legal and safety review
Equine-activity laws, lien rights, releases, employment rules, zoning, tax treatment, and insurance requirements vary. General content cannot approve a contract or operation. Readers should use state-qualified counsel and the professionals responsible for the decision.
Corrections, dates, and AI use
Published and updated dates identify the site record, not a guarantee that every linked rule remains current. We correct material errors and disclose the update. Drafting tools may assist production, but publication requires a human editorial check for brand fit, unsupported claims, broken links, and template contamination.
Commercial independence
We do not publish fabricated reviews, credentials, user counts, success rates, or provider coverage. If a commercial or referral relationship is introduced later, it must be disclosed where it can affect the reader's interpretation.
